I enjoy working in a variety of mediums, in different ways. I consider myself to be a professional mixed media artist. I am able to focus on one medium at a time, if necessary to get a particular effect or result I am striving and looking for. If you have a design or creative project please keep me in mind!
Woods . Metals . Papers . Beads
I enjoy and love working with Woods, Metals, Papers and Beads in a sculptural and architectural aspect.
I have integrated the elements created what I have called my hanging chimes. I hope to be displaying these lovely exquisite works on the site when I am able to take the appropriate pictures that are able to show them at their best.
I am looking to produce a How-to book in the future. Giving others the opportunity to create your own exciting chimes.
The image below is one of 3 "Doors to Recovery" Fundraising projects I have worked on in the last 3 years.
The icon that comes to mind in Recovery is the image of a Butterfly . Representing transformation.
I have taken the same 3D image of the same Butterfly and presented it in three different yet similar ways to the Transforming Youth Recovery Fundraiser: Doors to Recovery
Works in Paper "Gigantic & Life Size"
Paper Dress Commission Craft & Hobby Assoc. Cre8time Unveiling at the 2012 Summer Show Rosemont, Ill
I have created over 50 Gigantic Paper Sculptures for the Schools and Cultural Centers in my area - Working with Paper is another medium I am passionate and enjoy working with!
In 2002 I received a Professional Artists Grant from Sierra Arts Foundation in Reno, Nevada USA.
Never would I have thought that this love of creating large works in paper would give me the opportunity to work with the (CHA) Craft and Hobby Assoc. and their Foundation to create a piece for the "Cre8time" booth in 2012.
The picture shown above is a life size paper dress created at the unveiling of the CHA Association's "Cre8time Movement."
My first endeavor working with paper in my style on a three dimensional piece. We were all pleased with the outcome. CraftandHobby.org

OIL PASTEL SMUDGE
I have expanded upon a beautiful style of utilizing the medium of Oil Pastels, a technique in which I use a hand-made template in a creative way that I have not seen anywhere else.
I have been working on what I have called the Oil Pastel "Smudge" technique for over 10 years teaching 100's of individuals how to create beautiful works of art in this permanent medium. Everything from exquisite landscapes to abstract designs. The style has a distinct look all its own! visit:OilPastelSmudge.com
Model Air Dry Clay Crayola Brand
Back in the late 1980's I worked with a mixture of what is known as Salt Dough, (salt, flour, water...) and created some fantastic 3-D Heart images.
I offered "Mommy and Me" classes in the Minden and Carson City, Nevada communities working with the salt dough medium.
Years down the road I was introduced to Crayola's Model Air Dry Clay...another world opened up where I was able to create the same exact images and have them last forever!

Hand Lettering with a pen & a brush!
Calligraphy - The Letterary Arts
I have been in love with letters since taking a Graphic Arts class back in the 1970's. Even before, when I was first able to write my name.
Things went on from there and I began teaching Calligraphy & Hand Lettering in 1983 at the Community College, located in South Lake Tahoe, CA.
I now offer Calligraphy-The Letterary Arts classes at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Reno, NV. I have worked on several commissioned works for the State of Nevada - The names under the photographs of the State Assembly and Senate for the 71st Session of Congress and also the Nevada Dept. of Tourism.
Through my Designer Membership with (CHA) the Craft and Hobby Assoc. I was able to meet and have illustrated, designed and lettered a Calligraphy Coloring Book for Dover Publishing. Titled: " Words on Love".
