Calligrapher/Photographer Carol Foldvary-Anderson, honoring International Women's Month at the Sierra Arts Foundation Reno, NV!

The original Calligraphy/Photography project was honored with generous grant funding in 2024 through the Nevada Arts Council (NAC) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).  Inspiring quotes written in Calligraphy and beautifully photographed.  
Words on navigating life from the wisdom of exceptional Women.  Truth seekers from different cultures and eras.  Their words and actions defined their life trials, viewpoints and existence.  Their life and words have inspired Women to achieve greatness themselves.  

Meet the Artist/Calligrapher/Photographer Foldvary-Anderson Saturday, March 28 1pm-3pm. Show Dates: March 9th - April 6th, 2026.  
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm  Closed Sunday and Monday.   

Last month February it was me who was the Guest Speaker at Latimer Art Club  Reno, NV.  I am the club's Speaker/Arranger.  I have been in that position for over 5 years, if not more.  The years pass by quickly when you are busy creating art, teaching classes and applying for grant funding.  

I shared with the club the video I produced with funding from the Nevada Arts Council (NAC) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).  "Inspiring Lettering" A teaching video of the history of our Roman Alphabet and also a calligraphy project working with 2 pencils held together with 2 rubber bands.

I am truly honored to also be on the NAC Teaching Artist Registry sharing my talents in Calligraphy and also Oil Pastel Smudge.  

The event went over well and during the presentation I sent around a clip board and 2 pencils so everyone could try their hand at it.  Great fun.
