Encouraging Student Testimonials
Carol is very willing to share her knowledge and very encouraging. She made learning lettering and Calligraphy fun and easy! Her class is a great start to grow your skills. Carol even shared a video on the history of penmanship. I would definitely recommend this class to a friend and come with them! She made Calligraphy much easier to learn than it looks.
I am honored to be a recognized Arts Educator with the Nevada Arts Council Roster of Artists
I also enjoy working with "Oil Pastels" I have come up with a fabulous technique working in this versatile medium.
I call the technique Oil Pastel Smudge
I have had honorable acceptance of the technique with the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts Through Grant Funding.
The technique involves working with a template you cut and create yourself.
It encompasses the use of math and cognitive thinking skills. It is great fun once you learn a few simple rules.
The "Smudge" technique is able to create distinct hard lines and a feathery effect both at the same time, if desired. Take a look at the many Student images created and shared on the website OilPastelSmudge.com Take a peek at our Oil Pastel Smudge Facebook Page too! In class you will learn to create everything from beautiful landscapes, floral art, abstracts and more.
Whether you are a beginner to creating art or have some experience working in oil pastels. It is great fun to "Smudge" and OH the beautiful art you will create! Learn to view the world and art differently. Students have finished a piece and framed their art for the first time!
Be sure to visit OilPastelSmudge.com to see more of this innovative and award winning technique.
